Sneak Peek: Kayla's Bat Mitzvah!
Announcing, all the way from Israel...Kayla! I only got to meet her for the couple of hours I shot at the bat mitzvah, but Kayla, you are an awesome girl. Beautiful inside and out! Had so much fun at your party, with all that chocolate fondue (yum!), dancing, and the hat and t-shirt paint decorating. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!
Because I can't stop smiling at this
I've posted pictures form this session before, but something about this particular shot just makes me sigh and smile. Couldn't help but share it :)
Batsheva
Every now and then I love looking back at previous sessions. This family session- and picture in particular- makes my heart all warm and fuzzy.
Love is Magical
As a photographer, I am constantly on the look out for new locations for my photo shoots. Driving around one day, I spotted this Equestrian area only 10 minutes from where I live. I went home as fast as I could to round up my sister and her kids to try this new place out, and WOW! I guess it's the Rural Girl in me, but I fell in love with every spot. The white picket fences, wooden fences, tall green grass, and horse stables...it took such will power not to drool at the scenery while snapping away!
The Chocolate Project
Session of the Chocolate Project. I was given an assignment to use plain squares of chocolate and add it to different set ups and props. After a few hours of work, the cravings starting kicking in for some nice Swiss dark chocolate! The next chocolate session will be an assortment of chocolates, looking forward to that one :)
Mizrachi Catering
I've ventured into the world of food photography, and must say I have found yet another thing to add onto my Photography Love list! Many photographers swear by portrait photography being a breeze compared to food photography. Food photography entails strategic positioning, setup, and the perfect lighting and gear. I, however, had a wonderful experience with Mizrachi catering. Not only does their food make your mouth salivate for a nice juicy piece of meat, it is also fresh and has an amazing smell! For the few hours I was shooting, my stomach was grumbling non-stop.
Young friends will last forever
These two little kiddos go way back. Levi, the cute 5 year old, has beautiful, angelic, innocent eyes that can charm anyone. My niece, now 2 and a bit, reminds me of a little girl crush on a much older boy. I've been neighbors with Levi's family for the past 10 years, and whenever my niece is in town for a visit he makes sure to have a play date. Just couldn't refuse snapping a few pictures of these two (innocent) love birds!
Rock my color world
Colors...they give the world depth, and meaning, and life! Imagine a life of black, white, and grey- although I love black and white photos- it would not be the same! Myself and my camera fell in love with this family. It was a super day for shooting, and the blue eyes, dimples, and huge smiles were a huge bonus. All in all, I give this session an A+.
No coffee or caffeine of any kind was needed for staying up till the wee hours of the night editing this session. The cuteness factor and colors were enough to keep me pumped with editing adrenaline!

L is for...
LOVE
That is what I thought as I was leaving this family session. I loved everything about it. The beautiful weather, the tall yellow flowers, the big shady trees, and this absolutely beautiful family. The 3 year old did some posing of her own, saying "cheese!" each time, and saying "peek-a-boo!" to her baby sister to get her to laugh. Sessions like these reminds me of how much I love my job!
Romano Sneak Peek
I can't help but smile every time I look at this baby. With those baby blues, and that little smirk of his, he's got my heart for sure!
A little Baby Lovin'
I photographed an Upshernish- the hair cut celebration for a 3 year old boy- today, and just had to share this picture of this cute bundle of love.
I call it "Baby Love". Who could resist those baby blues?
Not me, that's for sure!
Bavaro Bris
Thank G-d I've been busy this past month! With family portraits, children, babies, Bris Milah's, and just for funs- I have loads of sessions to edit and post for sneak peeks!
Here is the Bavaro Family. This little 8 day old boy was born good lookin' , and you can see for yourself :)

They are holding a contest (ending June 1st) in which the winner will have their photo on the cover of the magazine. Why would I love to win? EXPOSURE! LAY’S® Happiness Exhibit Winner- RIVKA PHOTOGRAPHY!
I entered this photo contest about 2 months ago for LAY’S® Happiness Exhibit. Your image has to portray happiness, love, laugh, and life. Out of thousands of photos entered into the contest, my photo was chosen to advertise their campaign! The final ad will be finished soon, and once I get my hands on it, I'll definitely post it up :)
Z Family sneak peek
I was blessed to photograph some really awesome families during this visit to New York, and the Z family really nailed the list of "Fun Photo Shoots"! Everything about this session was pure luck- the kids were super cute, the flowers were in full bloom, and it started to rain 2 minutes after we left! These kids can make you laugh even when the sky is full of ready to pour clouds :)
Cherry Blossoms
With this visit to New York, it it the first time I've seen cherry blossoms in full bloom. As we lack them in Florida, New york seems to have them on every street corner. The other day, I went to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens with my family and I had a blast photographing my niece in beds of tulips and daffodils. As I was walking around I was getting photo ideas for a family I photographed earlier today. Coming soon: The Z family :) Cute to the T!

Super Star
That's what my niece is- a real super star. Whenever I bring my camera out with us and turn it on, she right away strikes a pose. This is natural. No telling her what to do- nadda. She loves her star sunglasses, and won't leave home without them now. She calls them her "Boo's" :)
New print available
Tropical Hibiscus print is now available in Fine Art Canvas in sizes 8x10, 11x16 and 16x20. Email rivkaphotography@gmail.com for custom sizes and prices.
